What Makes This Natural Soap Business Different From Other Soap Businesses?

When you first come across my business, you might think, “Oh great, another soap business.” But here’s the thing—Cedar & Earth Co. isn’t just about soap. There’s a much bigger story behind it, and that’s what I want to share with you.

More Than “Just Soap”

Back in 2023, when I launched this business, I knew from the beginning it would never be just about selling bars of soap. Sure, I started with a product, but my vision has always been about something deeper: creating impact. Before I get into the heart of that, let’s talk about the soap itself—because there’s some real magic in it.

The Magic in the Soap

From day one, I wanted every bar to carry intention. That’s why I went fully plant-based, mostly organic, and free from dyes and fragrances. My dream is to get to a place where everything is completely organic, but even now, every choice I make is about keeping your skin and your home as safe as possible.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • Plant-Based: At its core, Cedar & Earth is about peace, nature, and life force. That means no animals or animal by-products—ever.

  • Organic: Non-organic ingredients can hide all sorts of chemicals and pesticides. Choosing organic as much as possible keeps those out of your home and away from your skin.

  • Dye-Free: Artificial dyes come with too many side effects. I’d rather lean on clays and plants to bring natural beauty to my soaps.

  • Fragrance-Free: Even “phthalate-free” fragrances can contain hidden carcinogens. I don’t want that in my products, and I don’t want that in your life.

A lot of skincare brands still rely on these ingredients, but this is one of the big ways Cedar & Earth Co. stands apart.

The Magic of Cedar & Earth Co.

While soap is where it all began, this natural soap business is growing into something bigger—a way for you to create a home and a life that feels calm, intentional, and yours. Imagine lighting incense before journaling at night, freshening up your sheets before bed, or having a little ritual that helps you reconnect with yourself. That’s where I’m headed.

Here’s a peek at what’s in the works right now:

  • New soap scents

  • New crystal soaps

  • Handmade incense

  • Essential oil blends

  • Room + yoga mat sprays (multi-purpose, but not for cleaning)

  • Handmade journals

What the Future Holds for this Natural Soap Business

Another part of this journey is more personal: I’ve begun training as a trauma-informed somatic educator. Over 14 months, I’m learning how to hold space for women in a way that goes beyond the surface. This work helps uncover the parts of ourselves we’ve buried, guides us toward peace, and makes room for true acceptance. Through one-on-one or group sessions, I’ll be offering practices like shadow work, inner child work, and more—all through a trauma-informed lens.

It’s about helping women tune into their emotions, notice what their body is telling them, release what they’ve been carrying, and come back to themselves fully.

At the end of the day,

what makes Cedar & Earth Co. different from other soap businesses isn’t just the ingredients or the products (though those matter a lot). It’s the intention behind everything I create. Each bar of soap, each new product, and even the future work I’m stepping into—all of it is rooted in the same mission: helping you feel safe, cared for, and more connected to yourself.

So yes, this might look like a “soap business” on the surface. But underneath, it’s really about creating moments of peace in your home, your body, and your life. That’s the difference.
